Meet Martin Truex Jr.
About Martin
A true champion on and off the track, Truex began his racing career competing in go-karts near his hometown of Mayetta, New Jersey, and supported his racing ambition while working on his father’s clam boats. Martin was racing go-karts, modified cars, and racing as a part-time driver in the Xfinity Series when he was signed to drive for Dale Earnhardt Inc (DEI) in 2004. After winning the 2004 and 2005 Xfinity Series championships, he graduated to full time status in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2006.
Off the track, Martin is an avid outdoorsman. He also raises awareness and financial support for underfunded initiatives specific to childhood and ovarian cancer through the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation.
