- Today’s race was the first race in the second segment of the playoffs.
- Eight teams will advance into the next round following the next two races at Talladega and Kansas.
- Kyle Busch is currently second in the current MENCS point standings.
- Erik Jones started the No. 20 Craftsman Toyota in 16th and raced his way into the top ten on the opening green flag run before finishing the opening stage in 13th. He restarted stage two in 10th and finished it in 11th. Jones was running 10th when a multicar wreck on lap 397 took several leaders out of the race and moved him up to fourth for the restart in NASCAR overtime. Jones went on to finish fourth.
