Erik Jones qualified the No. 20 Craftsman Toyota in the eighth position and finished stage one in seventh. A pit road penalty for removing equipment from the pit stall during the stage break cost the 20 team track position dropping him back outside the top 20. Jones battled back to finish stage two in 16th. He lined up 16th to restart the final stage and barely missed out on a top ten finish taking the checkered flag in 11th.
